        赵永聚,男,山东曹县人,教授,博士生导师,医学博士,畜牧学博士后。现任动物科技学院副院长(分管研究生和科研工作),重庆市草食动物资源保护与利用工程技术研究中心常务副主任(学术委员会副主任),重庆市高校创新团队和中央高校创新团队“草食动物种质创新与健康养殖”团队带头人。主要从事动物遗传育种和畜牧兽医行政管理等领域的教学和研究工作。
        西南大学第四、五届教学督导委员会委员(组长),国家科学技术奖、教育部科学技术奖评审专家,中国畜牧兽医学会养羊学分会常务理事,重庆市科技特派员协会常务理事,重庆TDP学会常务理事,重庆遗传学会理事,中国畜牧业协会羊业分会理事,中国畜牧业协会专家组成员,中国畜牧兽医学会高级会员,贵州省(羊)产业化扶贫专家组成员,欧洲家畜繁殖学会(ESDAR)、国际山羊学会(IGA)会员,中国实验动物学会会员,重庆市科普咨询专家,国家“三区”科技特派员,院学术委员会委员,《Gene》副主编,《Theriogenology Insight》编委,《Animal Genetics》、《Molecular Biology Reports》、《Tropical Animal Health and Production》、《Animal Biology》、《Journal of Buffalo Science》、《中国农业科学(英文版)》、《西南大学学报》等刊物审稿人。

本科生:家畜育种学、羊生产学、实验动物学、畜牧兽医行政管理、动物遗传资源保护概论;
研究生:动物育种学原理(双语)、动物遗传育种与繁殖研讨、高级生物统计附实验设计等。
 
*研究领域和成果
主要从事动物分子遗传育种领域的研究。主持各类科研项目20余项,其中国家自然科学基金项目3项、农业部国家科技转基因重大专项2项、重庆市自然科学基金2项。发表论文70余篇,其中SCI论文收录45篇,Medline收录1篇。主编《动物遗传资源保护概论》(高等学校规划教材)和《山羊高效养殖与疾病防治技术》各1部,副主编《中国养羊学》,参编《畜牧兽医行政管理》、《羊生产学》、《动物育种学实验教程》等全国规划教材多部。
